DOMINICAN PREACHING
Dominican preaching, centered on the Word of God and grounded in contemplation, prayer, and study, seeks to lead people to a deeper knowledge of God, a more profound faith, and a daily commitment to living out the Gospel.
Dominican preachers strive to present the truth of the Gospel in ways that touch both the intellect and the heart, which will lead people and communities to communal and personal transformation rooted in justice and peace.
Sister Anneliese Sinnott, OP is one of these Dominican preachers. She has ministered as a theological professor, as well as an occasional preacher, allowing communities to deepen their understanding of God’s Word and apply it to life. She has ministered to the marginalized, advocated for the oppressed, and worked for racial justice. She engages in ecumenical dialogue to discover the commonalities in the expressions of truth residing in other Christian denominations. She has committed herself to understanding contemporary issues and how faith interacts with justice, peace, morality, culture, gender, and spirituality with a Gospel perspective.
