If you were to look through a calendar of saints in the Catholic tradition, men would far outweigh women! Most of the “saints” celebrated in the Church calendar are men; here and there we find a woman, usually one who is well known and celebrated for a particular work or for a hidden life of prayer. But what of all the women who throughout history have lived holy lives and ought to be revered as saints in our tradition. Some were Catholic, but some were not.

This series will introduce you to some of these women. For some we know much, but for some, very little. But at least you will get to know that they existed.
